Today a delegation of All Assam Lawyer’s Association comprising the President Mr. David Ledger, General Secretary Mr. Dipak Kr. Das, Treasurer Sri Ramesh Kr. Jain, Former A.G. Mr. Chinmoy Choudhury, Publicity Secretary Sri Kishore Kalita held a meeting with L.R. & Secretary to the Govt. of Assam Sri. Mridul Kr. Kalita and Dy. LR Mr. Barbhuyan and other officials as desired by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam in response to Email representation dated 31.05.2021 .
During discussion AALA submitted Memorandum covering some important problems of Advocates Community.
It is pertinent to mention herein that the representatives from Government side from the legal department assured the delegation that necessary frame work would be prepared shortly as mentioned in the memorandum on the basis of the points raised in the memorandum.
AALA thanks Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam for taking urgent initiatives in resolving the problems faced by the members of the legal fraternity.
AALA hopes that second phase of discussion shall be convened by the legal department with Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam.
