1. Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours recorded 20 fresh COVID-19 cases, taking its total number of confirmed cases to 252, of which 176 are active cases and 75 have already recovered with one casualty, stated a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) .
2. Of the 20 new cases detected in three districts of Arunachal Pradesh, six each are from Itanagar Capital Complex (ICC) and Changlang, while eight are from West Kameng.
3. Arunachal Pradesh State Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo distributed facemasks and sanitizers among the people during a COVID-19 awareness programme held in Upper Subansiri district; emphasizing the need to create awareness, the Minister urged the people to follow the guidelines issued by the MHA.
4. In Assam, 365 new COVID-19 positive cases detected yesterday, out of which 134 were reported from Guwahati City. Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma urged everyone to take proper precautions & care to stay safe. Total cases in the State now are 9799.
5. In Meghalaya, 4 people, who were high risk contacts of a COVID-19 patient presently in Assam have tested positive for the same in Ri Bhoi District.Total active cases 22, total recovered cases 43.
6. Schools in Mizoram will now not open from 15th July due to guidelines of the Union Home Ministry. Earlier, the State government had announced opening of the schools from mid July.
7. 23 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Nagaland. The total number of positive cases rise to 562 with 334 active cases and 228 recoveries.
